Stone jigsaw patio

I made this patio a year ago and thought I'd post it for posterity. Having seriously hurt my back, I've given up building. Typical healer-just can't sort myself. Finished a stone seat recently that I think you will like and will post it when we are free of snow. From now on I'll be focusing on the clinic; am off to Norway in February, having been asked back, which I'm looking forward to so will let you know how I get on. Tomorrow is Hogmanay{as we say in Scotland} and I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you, my brothers and sisters everywhere, a Wonderfull Happy New Year!!

Lethendy sunset

I caught this image at sundown today from the stubble field across from the house.
It's boxing day[or has been], we are just back in from eating out and I am so full up I cant think of anything meaningful to say except that I'm very grateful to have a full tummy.

Christmas Day

Happy Christmas everyone! As you can see we are still looking snowy here but the roads are clear. How was your day? Did it bring you everything you wished?- All the presents opened, all the food eaten, most of the wine drunk, all the loving words sincerely said, those loved ones contacted at long last as 10 years later we still can't remember why we fell out or if , indeed, we ever fell out at all; pride, ego, the willingness to die just to be right...make it a Christmas to really remember-make that call and remember that "It is not so important how well a message is received, but how well it is sent" {Conversations with God Book 1 by Neale Donald Walshe} Worth a look.
Blessed Be.

Christmas Eve at Lethendy

We are experiencing our first white Christmas in I don't know how long. This is a little snow-capped bush in a corner of the walled Garden. It's a very beautiful  and we are so lucky to be indoors warm, dry and cosy when it's -16 outside tonight. We have good food and the company of our loved ones in the warm glow of a Christmas Tree; blessed indeed.
Many, many, others tonight will not be so fortunate. This on a planet when there is more than enough to go round with a minority of powerful individuals and groups who seem to believe that success can only, indeed must only, come at the expense of others. As the churches and cathedrals are filled with drouthy revellers ready to belt out "Hark The Herald Angels Sing!" on beery breath with glassy eyes during their only visit to a holy place in a whole year-yet again. WE need to extrapolate that feeling to the rest of the year by living the message of Christ EVERY day, treating that day as if it were our last-If we all chose to be that loving then all the world could indeed become the Christ-Mass celebration every day and we could all know loving, lasting peace at last. Just think....if this WAS my last day on earth, would I behave any differently to others?

Are you out of or in the woods?

Trees are the telegraph poles to God. Just by being near trees you can access their amazing energies. The healing energy of a tree is a 'constant' unlike ours which changes 'constantly'. That is to say a tree is totally reliable-just go up to a tree, stand with your back leaning against it, palms of your hand against the tree and ask it to drain away your excess emotions-it will! You may experience a slight rocking motion as Mother Nature nurses you back into balance! Try it, it works and it's free!!
I know that I've said this before but for new followers this may be new and 're-vision'
is also good for older followers who, like me , forget.

A WOODLAND WINDOW OF SUNLIGHT

This is of course the season of Christ-Mass celebrations, family get -togethers and the exchanging of gifts. However, for many people, this is not an easy time and can represent mounting debt whilst trying to please children bombarded with media matierialism. Little of this has anything to do with the true spirit of Christ's teachings.
The giving and receiving of gifts is wonderful and is in fact in keeping with many spiritual teachings. It is the commercial control and media manipulation which has robbed this most sacred celebrations of any  sanctity and wonder. The true measure of an evolved  society is how it teats the least among it's members. I am not talking of poverty, division and exclusion in third world countries here-I am talking on your doorstep to you; for as long as we have one homeless person among us, one socially trapped, or excluded from opportunity, on any grounds, then we are ALL forgetting the meaning of the Christ-Mass for we are ALL ONE. Love gives every day of the year.

Woodland Bracket Fungi

I would like to apologise for my long absence. I injured my sacro-ileac spine due to lifting very heavy stones. A typical healer, Gordon has difficulty healing Gordy- seen my chiropractor 2 nights ago and bent back into shape. Anyway, went for a walk with Pippy Doog (long haired dachshund-real name "Lungha"-Italian for 'long') AND saw this bracket fungi which caught my eye. I love the way it curls provocatively whilst still anchored firmly to it's host, the dead trunk of a tree. A real divine dichotomy-the living growing out of the dead- except that there is no ending to the story. I have said before that you never ever have to say 'Goodbye', only 'Hello'. You cannot die; you merely return from whence you came-world without end-AMEN

Holly-A haven for spirits of the wood

As a flower essence, holly is the remedy for anger, envy, jealousy, and suspicion. It is the antidote for hatred. In the words of Dr. Bach: "holly protects us from everything that is not Universal Love." He suggested using holly when no other remedy was apparent, seeing lack of love as the ultimate foundation of any negative emotional state.Holly is a protective tree, guarding against poison, evil spirits, and evil sorcerers.
A spear of the holly gives focus and direction  to spiritual struggles. It will sharpen your wits and give you the courage to succeed in your quest.
The above extract is from "Tree Medicine Tree Magic" by Ellen Evert Hopman-Phoenix Publishing Inc. If you love trees this book covers their practical, herbal and magical uses and is both informative and laced with beautiful poetry-a great Christ-Mass gift!

Hen Friend

This little girl was rescued as a chick from a battery farm. Her official breed is a 'Ranger 2' which I suppose means free range... She and her two sisters have freedom of all the gardens and farm fields here in Perthshire. Now thats what I call truly free range and organic! She does look happy here doesn't she?
